Like our Live-In and Overnight Care options, our half-day care packages put the values of compassion, respect and independence into practice, but on an hourly basis. In so doing, they offer a flexible, friendly and affordable way to be supported at home. 

Is it for me?

If you find yourself asking if a half-day care package is right for you, consider the ways in which it can help: 

• Assisting with medication (including support after surgery or injury) 

• Support in preparing for the day ahead, for example dressing and bathing 

• Help with progressive or complex needs, such as dementia, from our nursing-led team 

• Cooking and preparing meals 

• A helping hand for light house-work, errands and administration

How it works

We want your loved one to feel as if they have gained a friend rather than a carer, and we put relationship-building at the heart of any care package. Given this, we recommend that half-day packages be a minimum of three-hours per week in order for mutual understanding and compassion to be able to develop naturally. 

When and how often the carer pops by to lend a hand is, of course, up to the person being cared for. If it is support getting ready in the morning that’s needed, then we can be there bright and early to whip-up breakfast, help with bathing or prepare more generally for the day ahead. If it’s more medical-focused care that’s in order, your matched carer can be on hand to administer medicine, help with mobility and ensure comfort and ease. How much does it cost?

As a not-for-profit social enterprise, we strive to ensure our care packages are as accessible and affordable as possible so that more older adults can receive the help and assistance they need in the place they call home.

Half-Day packages start from as little as £22.50 per hour for a minimum of 3 hours a day. For this price, we create a care arrangement tailored to your needs, all provided by a carer hand-picked to reflect your loved one’s personality and life experience.
