And in order to provide the persistent affection and strength needed to care, a break is often exactly what’s needed. That’s why we’ve created a Respite Care service that fits around your needs, delivered by one of our warm-hearted carers, in the place you call home.

Whether it’s covering a two-week holiday, a short break, or needed urgently because of sickness or a family emergency, we’re here when you need us to offer one-to-one care from skilled professionals 

Like our Live-In and Overnight Care options, our respite packages put the values of compassion, respect and independence into practice. In so doing, they offer a flexible, friendly and affordable way for your loved one to be supported at home. 

How does it work?

Our respite services are built around your needs and circumstances. We want your loved one to feel as if they have gained a friend rather than a carer for the period that we are with them and we put relationship-building at the heart of any care package.

When and how often the carer pops by to lend a hand is, of course, up to the person being cared for. If it is support in getting ready in the morning that’s needed, then we can be there bright and early to whip up breakfast, help with bathing or prepare more generally for the day ahead. If it’s more medical-focused care that’s in order, your matched carer can be on hand to administer medicine, help with mobility and ensure comfort and ease. If your loved one’s needs are greater our expert carers can, of course, be on hand 24 hours a day. How much does it cost?

As a not-for-profit social enterprise, one of our aims is to ensure our care are as accessible and affordable as possible so that more older adults can receive the help and assistance they need in the place they call home.

Respite Care starts from as little as £22.50 per hour. Please refer to our PRICE LIST for more information.
