Care Worker

£12.00/hour

Job Overview:

• To provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed standards under the direction of the Senior Carer/Nurse

• To support and enable Service Users to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person-centered care unique to each individual

• To maintain skills at a current level, undertake such training and development as required from time-to-time to maintain and progress knowledge

Duties and responsibilities:

• Companionship and building relationships with vulnerable adults in our care

• Operating mobility equipment, such as hoists, Zimmer frames, wheelchairs, and standing aids

• Light housekeeping, including meal preparation, laundry, and/or cleaning

• Medication administration and support and auditing service user medications

• Keeping accurate and detailed records of service user care, and reporting unusual or dangerous occurrences to the appropriate parties

• Ensuring quality of care by staying up-to-date on best practice, following the SSSC Code of Conduct, and completing essential online and in-person training

• Attending regular supervision, appraisal, and full-staff meetings
